Generate Earned

Prerequisites

  • Import the actual costs for the current reporting period.
  • Verify you have entered an estimate at completion value for work packages assigned the Earned as Spent earned value technique (EVT).

This option is specific to work packages assigned the Earned as Spent EVT. Earned value is calculated using this formula: (Earned = (actual costs / EAC) * BAC).

  1. Select Home > Earned Value in the Navigation Menu. The main EVMax window displays.
  2. Select your project from the Project dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
  3. Click Generate Earned in the Ribbon Menu. A Generate Earned confirmation dialog box displays.

  4. Click Yes.

    Tip:

    Should you identify an error in the earned value data, you can clear the current period earned value data (see Remove Current Earned Values), fix the errors, and then generate the earned value data again.
